Bahr El Ghazal University Vice Chancellor called for open discussions on federalism to avoid confusion.
Samson Wasara on Wednesday shared his academic views on federalism with Voice of Hope that debates; conferences governance systems should be opened to make people understand the system that suits their interest.
He said the issue of governance became a public domain and that people should loosen their fixed ideas and come up with a true meaning of federalism.
Dr Wasara argued that federalism varies in nature from one country.
He called on the government to accept facts, open discussions to minimize the bias to this federal popular concepts to get scientific proves.
The Chancellor said civil society and academicians should organize public workshops and conferences for citizens to learn different aspects of federalism and decide on the type of governance matching with South Sudan traditions and cultures.
He said stopping debates would only add more problems.
