Central Equatoria government calls for calm

Central Equatoria government on Monday after an emergency meeting urged the general public in Juba and the state to remain calm and not to rely on wild rumours circulating in the town that Equatoria leaders were in loggerheads with the national government counterparts.
 
State government spokesperson Suba Samuel Manasseh told press that the rumours plotting in Juba originating from social media, calling on the public not to attend to the unfounded false information, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He advised the public in Juba and the state at large not to fear, but continue doing their normal duties as security conditions are calm.
 
Citizens in Juba and parts of Equatoria on Sunday feared that conflict was going to break out against the people of the region.
