Yei Catholic Diocesan priest on Tuesday celebrated his thirteenth year anniversary in the priestly services.
Fr Alex Lo’diong Sakor said he enjoyed his time despite the many challenges he faces.
He commended fellow priests, sisters and the Christians for the love and cooperation in serving the Christian community in the diocese.
Fr Lo’diong said the aim of the celebration was to share his experiences, joys and difficulties during his service and encourage fellow priests to endure challenges while work for the good of the Christian community and God.
Christ the King Youth Vice Chairperson Mbali Peter said Fr Lo’diong services were fruitful in the diocese and believed that he would return to serve the diocese with better skills and knowledge.
He described Fr Lo’diong’s service as a ‘chaplain honestly speaking to couples’.
Yei Catholic Bishop Erkulano Lodu Tombe said sending many priests for studies was difficult because there is high demand of the pastoral ministry.
They made the remarks during the farewell for Fr Lo’diong departure to studies and his 13th year anniversary.
