The chairman of the Driver’s Union in Central Equatoria said an attempt to stop foreigners from driving public transport was a good move.
Hassan Doka Ramba told Bakhita Radio that the order would assist idle South Sudanese with driving skills.
He said no foreigners working as taxi drivers in Sudan, Uganda and other countries in the world.
Mr Doka said the foreigners have right to drive other vehicles, not public means.
He urged those complaining of taxis to remain calm as they work for better solution.
Mr Doka said those with taxis at home should drive them to assist passengers.
