Amdrafi community in Amdurdu Administrative Unit of Heiban County on Monday during the closing ceremony of Amdrafi Model Primary School promised to ban night discos.
A village elder, Mohamed Fula warned the youth over harmful behaviours in the community, Voice of Peace reported.
He called on the community to advocate for music abolition.
Mr Fula advised the youth to be patience and to pursue their education before getting married.
He told parents and teachers to work together for better education of children, calling on youths to take care of their animals instead of indulging in bad activities.
Kumbur Payam Education Supervisor Khaled Karaka Lalo told parents to discipline their children and that discos signify new civilization.
The community denounced music dances and blamed it for being the cause of poor performances in Amdrafi Model Primary school.
