Saint Comboni zone in Yei Catholic Diocese on Saturday concluded its two-day workshop for equipping catholic actors, youths, catechists, chapel councillors with roles and skills for serving the church.

The zone leaders Simon Luwate Simon said the training brought participants from the nine chapels of the zone, Easter Radio reported.

He said without training the leaders would continue to deliver inadequate and ineffective services.

Yei Zone Coordinator Nathaniel Brown disclosed a plan to organize more trainings for zones’ leaders to prepare them for better services.

He stressed the importance of conducting more workshops to encourage self reliance and deepen spiritual development.

The zone coordinator said some untrained catechists face difficulties to put across the message.

St Comboni Youth Secretary Richard Loputu George said after the training he now knows his roles as secretary, called on the zone leadership and the parish to organize more trainings to beef up and widen service delivery in the diocese.

St Bakhita Catholic Action member Mama Mary Modo described the training as paramount in strengthening faith to endure temptations.
