United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs or UNOCHA reported that aid agencies targeted to assist at least 3.8 million people facing alarming food insecurity by December 2014.

The Office said the agencies required 1.8 US billion Dollars to respond to the South Sudan Crisis in 2014, of which donors provided 739 million US Dollars.

OCHA said the conflict displaced up to 1.5 million people including those who have fled into neighbouring countries.
