Sudd Institute Director objected the idea of federalism called by Equatorians and the SPLM/A-in opposition.
Abraham Awolich said federalism was a consistent call from Equatorians which according to him already accommodated in the Transitional Constitution, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said many people define federalism in their own ways of understanding, but do not tell the clear meaning.
Mr Awolich urged citizens in the country to be calm and not to rush for federalism because it might mess up the country.
He attributed the mess up in the country to bad governance, corruption and lack of services delivery by the ruling government to its people.
Mr Awolich urged the negotiators to be patient and leave the issue of federalism to South Sudanese to decide the governance system they want.
SPLM Secretary for Syndicated Organization Acuil Malith earlier said federalism was intentionally avoided during the CPA negotiations to shun mess up.
Warrap State Information Minister said his government does not support the massive call for federal governance in South Sudan, though he acknowledged its usefulness.
