Eastern Equatoria Primary Health Care Director said they received reports of eight suspected cholera cases in Torit town.
Ercillia Akulu told Emmanuel Radio that out of the eight suspected cases, only two were confirmed to be cholera and the rest were different diseases.
The Director said the state formed emergency response taskforce at various levels including Nimule to handle cholera cases.
Ms Akulu revealed that other taskforces in counties are on standby and that World Health Organization deployed officials with vaccines and other drugs to Nimule Hospital.
Cholera outbreak hit Juba last month with over 1700 cases since its onset with some cases reported in Jonglei, Yei, Bentiu and Malakal.
