Oxfam urges civil society to work with government

Oxfam Governance Project Officer urged civil society organizations in Eastern Equatoria to consult the government in their activities.
 
Fred Anyaja said the organizations should ensure close relationship between them and the government in order to succeed in their work, Emmanuel Radio reported.
 
He encouraged civil society members to always seek consent and approval from the state government in every activity they undertake.
 
Mr Anyaja called on the organizations to unite for better service delivery to the people.
 
Civil society network members at the workshop decried poor and incompetent leadership as some major challenges facing their work.
 
The OXFAM Governance Project Officer was talking on Thursday during a one-day workshop of civil society organization in Torit organized by Agency for Independent Media funded by OXFAM to strengthen organizations’ networking in the state.
