National Health ministry workers went for sit-down strikes over delay of April salaries and arrears in Juba.

An anonymous protestor told Bakhita Radio on Tuesday that they started the strike on Monday and would continue until their demands are fulfilled.

He said they have the right to protest because they did not receive some of their benefits which other ministries workers’ got.

Another female protestor said they went to the undersecretary with a letter directed to the minister, but the two top officials did not respond.

She added that the Director General told them either to work or face dismissal.

The protestors accused the Director General of insulting them as failures in life.
