South Sudan Examinations’ Council Secretary General on Tuesday announced that 13,678 candidates are expected to begin from June 27 and ending on July 14.
Lul Ruei Dhol told CRN that the Council would distribute the timetable to schools in due course.
He said the disclosure of timetable to candidates in few weeks was convenient because candidates were preparing right from the time of registration.
Mr Ruei added that there would be no preparation after timetable announcement.
The Secretary General said 1351 candidates out of 13,678 are in IDPs’ camps all over the country, adding that 153 candidates are refugee from Sudan and other countries.
Mr Ruei said the Council worked on some challenges that marred exams’ administration in 2013 all over South Sudan, characterized with many malpractices and irregularities.
The Secretary General explained that most last year’s mistakes were corrected, expressing that the Council remains optimistic that the conduct would be perfect.
More than 18 thousand Secondary Certificate Exams’ candidates sat in 2013, indicating a decline in 2014.
