United Democratic Front or UDF Chairperson said they support federal system of governance in South Sudan.

Peter Abdurrahman Sule told Journalists in Juba on Friday that he does not support governance where the president has a lot of powers enabling him to dismiss and appoint governors, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said UDF’s federal system would be completely different from what some citizens were talking about.

Mr Sule said people should choose the system of the governance as opposed to centralized system imposition.

He added that when citizens go for federal system, they should go as components and sit down to agree after dialogue.

President Kiir earlier on opposed federalism as not viable at all without giving reasons for the opposition stand.
