Interior Ministry, Mobile operators sign agreement for emergency centre

Interior Ministry and Mobile operators including MTN, Zain, Gemtel and Vivacel companies sign an agreement to install emergency call centre in Juba.
 
Deputy Police Inspector General Colonel Andrew Kuol Nyuon said the centre would help citizens to communicate to police and security organs to address security situation in different areas.
 
He said the centre would be launched on the third independence anniversary on July 9 in Juba.
 
Colonel Kuol said they are starting the operation in Juba and would expand to all states to improve security in the country.
 
He appealed to the Juba City Mayor and Commissioner to hurry up in surveying un demarcated areas, naming and creating roads for quick security response.
 
South Sudan MTN Chief Executive Officer Philip Besimire said the public would be able to call the centre line to get response from security forces.
 
He expressed optimism in the success of initiative for the betterment of the country.
