Morobo youth conclude empowerment workshop

Morobo County youths’ three-day empowerment workshop on human rights, good governance and rule of law concluded on Friday.
 
Community Empowerment for Rehabilitation and Development Project Officer Mawa George Lazarus said they want to see that youths fully participate nation building process, Easter Radio reported.
 
Emmanuel Bayati, a participant said the workshop was at right time, saying without human rights one would not live a dignified life.
 
He cited lack of transparency, accountability, poor youths’ participation, ineffective rule of law and lack of equality in resource distribution.
 
Another participant A’doke Gloria mentioned gender inequality as one of the challenges resulting to more marginalization as many stakeholders are men.
 
She said incorporating their views together would give room for women to participate in community development.
