Tonj South Social Welfare Director in Warrap State on Tuesday urged parents and guardians to take care of their children from brick-laying water holes, road, river, swamp and other stagnant water areas.

Gabriel Dut Bak said Madol, Bakder and Akelkeu said the aim of stopping random children’s movement was to prevent them from falling into water holes, Don Bosco Radio reported.

He advised parents and guardians to leave their children with their grandmothers or grandfathers when going to gardens.

The Director also advised people to burry standing water near their homesteads because it attracts mosquitoes, snakes and other dangerous insects.

He told citizens to use clean water to prevent waterborne diseases in their areas.
