SPLA Spokesperson welcomed African Union or AU Commission of Inquiry in its second mission to meet citizens and pressure groups to assist its investigations.

Colonel Philip Aguer told CRN in a telephone interview on Tuesday that they welcomed anybody interested in sorting out issues affecting the country.

He said the government earlier formed a committee to investigate allegations of killings, lootings and all mid December crises’ abuses, but the conflict interrupted it.

Colonel Aguer believed that accountability is the way forward for all South Sudanese involved in any form of crimes, praying that no fighting takes place in the near future.

AU Commission of Inquiry arrived in Juba on Sunday to meet citizens to facilitate investigation of human rights violations, underlying causes and other abuses committed during the mid December conflict.
