Western Equatoria Governor on Monday urged citizens to stop tribalism and say no to violence.
Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro said the State was peaceful and needs the same spirit to continue, calling on all Chiefs to maintain peace, identify troublesome people and hold them accountable for their acts, Anisa Radio reported.
He appealed to people to be peace makers, advising them to address root causes of problems before reconciliation in order to promote peace at all levels.
The Governor condemned idleness and that late coming to work would not be entertained.
He appealed to citizens to embark on development activities as the only way for country’s prosperity.
The Governor called on everybody to go to study to obtain better qualification in order to meet other high profile job conditions.
He spoke in an official opening of a three-day Community Peace Building Engagement Conference in Yambio.
