Isohe Parish Priest in Torit Catholic Diocese encouraged Christians to embrace activities that promote harmony among people and desist from practices that disunite communities.
Fr Peter Ben enlisted cattle raiding, tribalism and corruption as factors that enflame conflict in South Sudan, Emmanuel Radio reported.
Hecited Women for Peace organization in the area that could work hard to discourage cattle raiding.
Fr Ben hopes that activities of the organization would reduce cattle raiding.
The Parish Priest said an alternative source of livelihood should be identified to cattle raiders to keep them away from the practice.
He said some peace conferences were not honoured due to lack of income generating activities for the youth.
Fr Ben appreciated the visit of Emmanuel Radio team to Isohe, saying the public needs to about activities taking place in the area.
