Church Leaders Peace Initiative Chief Mediator between government and South Sudan Democratic Movement/Army-Cobra Faction, upon witnessing signing of final peace deal, said no war can be won by barrel of gun except through love for human life.
Bishop Emeritus Paride Taban told journalists at Juba International Airport after arrival from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia that love is the greatest weapon for capturing one another and humanity as a whole.
He added that the signing of peace agreement between government and David Yau Yau was like a miracle, affirming that with God, there is nothing impossible.
Bishop Taban thanked God at utmost that God was with them in the mediation, giving them courage and love.
He called on parties to the agreement to implement it peacefully to usher peace, happiness and development to great Pibor County of Jonglei State and the nation entirely, highlighting need for forgiveness, reconciliation and trust.
Presidential Advisor Akot Lual urged youth to unite and help elders achieve peace and development in the country.
He added that the signing of final peace deal with former rebel leader David Yau Yau was long awaited and it was very great to have it realized.
Mr Lual urged citizens not to relax for achieving Pibor County special status agreement, but work hard to achieve more for the whole nation.
Many citizens from Pibor County publicly welcomed the news with cheers and ululations of joy including Murle prominent politician Ismail Konyi and an elder Yona Sibon Bolol, calling for unity with other tribes among them Anyuak, Jie and Kachipo.
