UN Chief says Dr Machar agrees to meet President Kiir

United Nations, UN Secretary-General on Tuesday said in Juba he talked to SPLM/A in opposition leader, responding positively to meet President Salva Kiir directly on Friday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
 
Ban Ki Moon said Dr Riek Machar Teny accepted his advice to meet President Salva Kiir to address issues of the crisis through peaceful means.
 
The UN Chief urged the two leaders to work together for peace so that the civil population concentrates on cultivation to avoid famine in the country.
 
He said he was encouraged that President Kiir publically announced that he would meet Dr Machar in Ethiopia.
 
Ban Ki moon urged the two parties to settle differences through peaceful dialogue and find resolutions quickly.
 
He warned that if the fighting continues, South Sudan would witness the worst untold suffering in world history.
 
Ban Ki moon lamented that what he saw in the country broke his heart.
