Yei River County Union of Journalists in South Sudan, UJOSS branch Chairperson called for free access to information and expression for effective and sufficient development of the nation.
Ben Amos called for peace, love and cooperation among citizens, journalists and government at all levels to feed public with information, Easter Radio reported.
Commissioner Juma David Augustine said government values the role of media in nation building through continuous dissemination of information.
He added that media act as a mirror in daily governance system of a country.
The leaders made the statement on the World Press Day celebrated on Saturday coloured with procession and football match between Media FC and Veterans.
