Rumbek County Court fines alleged sex workers 150 Pounds each

Public Health Administrator said Rumbek Central County Court sentenced each of the six women alleged to be prostitutes one and half months imprisonment, equivalent to a fine of 150 South Sudanese Pounds each with strong warnings to stop the act.
 
Tito Taban said the court convicted the suspects he accused of contaminating environment with condoms and practising prostitution, Good News Radio reported.
 
He added that one pleaded guilty of conducting commercial sex for survival.
 
Mr Taban added that they would continue checking lodges and residences suspected to be using or burning condoms.
 
Rumbek Public Health Office promises to crack down sex workers and bring them to justice
