Government and former rebel leader David Yau Yau of South Sudan Democratic Movement, SSDM agreed to sign the final peace accord before Easter.
Chief mediator Emeritus Bishop Paride Taban of the Catholic Diocese of Torit revealed on Tuesday that David Yau Yau approved a quick signing of the final security arrangement pact to strike a peace agreement ahead of Easter, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He added that the peace deal would be finalized in two or three days, foreseeing delays due to distances and logistical challenges faced by David Yau Yau negotiating team in Khartoum.
Bishop Taban said the peace deal once signed would be an Easter gift for the nation.
The bishop revealed that the government accepted to create six Counties under Pibor to be under the Office of the President.
