EE Parliament approves Mayor, Commissioner’s Emolument Bill

Eastern Equatoria State Assembly approved emoluments, privileges and post service benefits of town mayors and state headquarters’ commissioner.
 
Acting Speaker Paul Napwon said the assembly approved the bill on Wednesday with observations, recommendations and amendments at the third reading in the Augus House.
 
State Information and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Clement Chichim Laku presented the bill to legalize payments for the Mayor, the deputy and the Commissioner of the state headquarters.
 
The State Commissioner would get monthly emolument of seven thousand South Sudanese Pounds and 2,500 as housing allowances.
 
The town Mayor gets six thousand South Sudanese Pounds and the deputy pockets five thousand with an equal 2,500 Pounds as housing allowances.
