Yei River County Commissioner called on counties in Central and Western Equatoria States to engage in sports to bring peace and unity.

Juma David Augustine said if South Sudanese could come together and run after a ball for 90 minutes it could be a significant process to build peace and unity for the whole country, Easter Radio reported.

He revealed that organizing tournaments would be a call for peace, love and unity among South Sudanese.

Mr David appreciated Action Africa Help or AAH for its concern and asked the organization to support children who have shown talents for sports in the country

He urged AAH to organize unity cup that should be played in areas of conflict in the country including Yirol and Pibor so that people who love conflict would learn to be peace lovers.

The county commissioner made the statement on Saturday at Yei Freedom Square where Umbasi Boma beat Mundri Boma 4 goals to Nil in Unity Cup final organized by AAH.
