Kajo-Keji County Commissioner of Central Equatoria State ordered for the arrest of two Fire Brigade Officers and one police officer for shooting two nineteen years’ old boys around their home area at Jengulu of Wudu Boma.

County Press Secretary Amule Charles said Commissioner Henry Kala Sabuni promised not to compromise with the crimes committed.

He added that the officers were arrested, pending court trial in police custody for shooting Duku David and Gutö Victor.

The official said the angry Commissioner charged the officers for violating ‘no drinking order’ during patrol operations.

Mr Amule revealed that the boys were shot on Tuesday at 11 PM after they were arrested and packaged in a patrol car.

The Fire Brigade Officers were reportedly drunk at the time of shooting.

The Press Secretary said conditions of the victims remain critical and that the County Commissioner decided to takethem for medication in Uganda.

Mr Amule said relatives were angry with the Fire Brigade Officers for shooting their boys, but later were pleased with steps Commissioner Kala Sabuni took.

The official added that relatives of the wounded boys understood that the gun shooters were indeed drunk and did the action under the influence of alcohol.

The County Commissioner ordered night patrol operations since December 2013 to track down underage teenagers from dancing discos and drinking alcohol.
