The Vice President of the Republic said the government was committed to the ongoing negotiations in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to restore peace in the country.
Addressing a public rally at Wau Stadium in Western Bahr El Ghazal on Wednesday, James Wani Igga said the government would not release political detainees before legal procedures, Voice of Hope reported.
Vice President Wani Igga said the government will keep watching any aggression from the forces loyal to Riek Machar.
He pointed out that the government would like to negotiate for a serious peace rather than a time wasting negotiations with preconditions.
The Vice President cautioned SPLM members against marginalizing their citizens under the cause of being liberation fighters.
