Wau Mayor held Riek Machar Teny and rebels loyal to him accountable for killing innocent civilians.
Arkangelo Anyar Anyar said Dr Riek was responsible for the killing and the displacement of innocent civilians not the government, Voice of Hope reported.
He stressed that the UN should withdraw its statement that ‘both parties are accountable for the bloodshed in Juba, Bor, Malakal and Bentiu towns’.
The Mayor made the statement while addressing nearly 200 displaced Sudanese business men at Wau ‘A’ Boys Primary School.
More than 400 displaced business people from Sudan’s Darfur region on Wednesday including 78 South Sudanese were received in Wau.
