Fellowship of Christian University Students South Sudan or FOCUS Prayer and Action for Peace Initiative on Friday marched on the streets of Juba to pray for peace in the country.
FOCUS General Secretary Joseph Noel said the aim of the procession was to make the voice of students heard in the cry for peace in South Sudan, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said all South Sudanese have the will to call and make peace following the mid December unrest.
Mr Noel discouraged senseless bloodshed in the young nation.
Pastor in charge of Arabic service in All Saints Cathedral Rev Alexander Ali called on every South Sudanese to pray for peace.
He said Jesus will answer the cry of the people of South Sudan.
FOCUS prayed at All Saints Cathedral, in front of Juba Teaching Hospital, Central Equatoria State Secretariat, National Parliament and Dr John Garang Mausoleum.
