The Vice President of the Republic on Wednesday visited Yambio State Hospital and internally displaced persons or IDPs.

James Wani Igga appreciated doctors and nurses for their commitment to serve the public, Anisa Radio reported.

He proceeded to see the IDPs at the State Ministry of Child and Social Welfare and donated to them some food and non food items.

The Vice President also visited the tomb of the late Azande King Gbudue to pay tribute to him as one of the heroes of freedom in South Sudan.

State Health Minister John Gboono lamented that there were only four foreign doctors working at Yambio State Hospital.

He appealed to the national government to deploy more national doctors to the State.
