Eastern Equatoria Governor appealed to National Crisis Committee, humanitarian actors, faith based organizations, business community and well wishers to help the Internally Displaced Persons or IDPs in the state.
Louis Lobong Lojore told the press on Wednesday that many IDPs from the neighbouring states urgently need assistance, Emmanuel Radio reported.
Governor Lobong said families of soldiers from Eastern Equatoria displaced by the crisis should not to go to camps, but get help at their original residential areas.
The Governor revealed state government’s plan to establish two camps: One in Kapoeta East and another in Magwi Counties for the IPDs.
He added that the third camp would be established in Kapoeta South County in case the number of IDPs increases.
Governor Lobong assured the IDPs, citizens and humanitarian agencies of secured environment in the state.
