Six dead, twelve injured on Juba-Nimule bus accident

National Police Service confirmed that six people died and twelve others injured in a bus accident near Aru junction on Juba-Nimule Highway on Wednesday.
 
Police Spokesperson Colonel James Monday Enoka told CRN that the six included four women and two men and all were South Sudanese.
 
He added that Central Equatoria Traffic Police rushed to the scene and took necessary measures including transporting victims to Juba Teaching Hospital.
 
Colonel Monday identified the six deceased as Agok Justice, Yama James, Estella Keji Daniel, Christine Masoro, Dominic Adiing and Nyasede Parouk Gatkuoth.
 
He said the cause of the accident was over speeding the led to loss of control.
 
He expressed regrets and condolences to the bereaved families.
 
Colonel Monday said the Inspector General of Police directed continuous traffic patrol of the highway to minimize over speeding and ensure traffic signs along the way were strictly followed.
 
The Police spokesperson said the driver of Lol Bus Company identified as a Congolese ran away, but police were pursuing him to bring him to justice.
