Member of the Sudan People Liberation Movement or SPLM urged the party chairman to come forward, sit at the driving seat and iron out all issues facing the party.

Mama Rebecca Nyandeng said there were lot of problems in the party and Salva Kiir needed to give party members right leadership directives, Bakhita Radio reported.

She added that what is happening in the party can prompt other smaller political parties to overtake SPLM.

Mama Nyandeng who call herself SPLM mother, expressed willingness to lead the party in case of no change.

The mother said though rumours are everywhere that Riek Machar, Pagan Amum and herself were lobbying to lead the party, members should do it in diplomatic manner not by causing havoc.

She called on citizens in the country to remain calm, saying there was no conflict of interest because SPLM belong to all.

Mama Nyandeng made the remarks during Bakhita Radio Wake-up Juba talk show on Tuesday.
