126 new police officers, female and male, on Wednesday graduated at Dr John Garang Memorial Police Academy in Rejaf West after a four-month training.
The UN Police serving with the UN Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS conducted the training on traffic management, criminal investigation, basic computer operations, crime intelligence and counter-terrorism.
A trainee who spoke on behalf of the graduates requested the UN Police to train more police personnel.
He said transportation and sicknesses, including malaria, were the major problems the trainees faced.
He added that they did not have mosquito nets.
Inspector General of Police, General Pieng Deng Kuol, said police officers should love the public and the public should love the police.
