Persons with disability to celebrate day in Kajo Keji

Persons with disability are to celebrate their international day on Tuesday in Kajo Keji.
 
Central Equatoria State Union of the Visually Impaired Secretary-General Kornelio Wani Ladu told Bakhita Radio on Saturday that state government officials will attend the celebrations.
 
He said the Union received more than 20 thousand South Sudanese Pounds in donations UNHCR, the UN refugees agency, and the UN Human Rights-Central Equatoria Division.
 
He added that the unions of the physically disabled, visually impaired and deaf and dumb are organizing the event.
 
Aromo Jimmy from Young Voice Group Advocating for People with Disabilities in South Sudan said people living with disabilities will identify their rights and get solutions to the problems they face.
 
He added that December 3 is a day for raising awareness and marking the importance of the disabled people in the country.
 
Mr Aromo urged actors for the rights of the impaired to follow all activities relating to their welfare without discrimination.
 
The International Day of Persons Living with Disabilities will be celebrated under the theme ‘Breaking the barriers and opening the door for inclusiveness.’
