Expired goods confiscated from Tonj markets were on Thursday burned by the County authority.
Talking to Don Bosco Radio after the burning exercise, Tonj South County Commissioner William Mayom clarified that the burned commodities included juice and milk powder.
The commissioner warned traders within Tonj South to be very careful with the goods they were selling.
He added that expired goods were very harmful for human consumption urging Tonj residents to keep a keen eye while buying goods from shops.
Commissioner Mayom thanked the town clerk chairperson Marko Mabior Ajiec for his tireless efforts to curb sales of expired goods in Tonj markets.
