Torit Catholic Diocese Apostolic Administrator urged youths to strengthen their faith in the Year of Faith.
Monsignor Thomas Oliha while meeting Eastern Equatoria Youth Union led by its chairperson Epone Emmanuel Lolimo on Friday advised youths to unite and live together in the state and the nation, Emmanuel Radio reported.
Monsignor Oliha appreciated the youth representatives’ visit and promised to put his energy to ensure that youths participate in Church activities.
Mr Lolimo said they shared with the Apostolic Administration complains about some homilies where some priests directly hit the public and forget the role of the church.
Mr Lolimo said they requested the Apostolic Administrator to conduct retreats in rural counties with rampant conflict to enlighten youths on the importance of peace and negative effects of cattle raiding.
Mr Lolimo appreciated the message of peace Apostolic Administrator gave to youths.
He said the Union was willing to work with the Church to develop the state.
