The Assistant Parish Priest of St Vincent De Paul in Gumbo died on Monday morning.
The auxiliary bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba Santo Loku Pio told Bakhita Radio that the late Fr Patrick Soreng of Salesians of Don Bosco collapsed at the bathroom.
He explained that the late Fr Soreng was immediately rushed to the hospital and the doctor declared him death.
Bishop Loku called upon the Catholic faithful and the entire Christians to pray for the family of the Salesians of Don Bosco and his blood family in India.
He said the requiem mass and burial arrangements would be communicated later.
The body of the late Fr Soreng was taken to Juba Teaching Hospital for post-mortem.
