Jesuit offers scholarships to Yambio teachers

Jesuit Refugees Service or JRS offered scholarships to ten secondary school teachers in Yambio, Western Equatoria State.
 
JRS Director Aidan Azairwe on Thursday presented the selected teachers to the state Education Minister, Anisa Radio reported. 
 
He explained that the selected teachers will go to study in National Teachers’ College of Muni in Arua, Uganda.
 
Mr Azairwe promised that JRS would continue supporting teachers training in the state. 
 
Minister Pia Philip Michael encouraged teachers to show good image of Western Equatoria through obedience.
 
He urged them to be creative and exert competitive efforts in academic performance to lift the state high. 
 
Mr Philip promised to send more teachers for professional trainings to improve primary and secondary education.
 
The minister appreciated JRS for supporting the education sector.
