Agency for Independent Media or AIM urged journalists to mitigate conflict in the country.

AIM Director David De Dau in a one-day workshop on Thursday in Juba urged journalists to report responsibly in conflict zones other than fuelling conflicts, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said South Sudanese need to understand the nature and causes of conflicts affecting the country.

Mr Dau revealed that AIM would produce magazines identifying the hotspot in various states to help lawmakers, civil society and all stakeholders ensure peace in the country.

Oxfam supported the workshop.
