Yei Catholic Diocese Vicar-General condemned some Christians’ bad practices of violating the Eucharist.
Zachariah Angutwa told the congregation at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday that some Christians receive the Holy Communion, carry it in their mouths out and put in a paper, Easter Radio reported.
He said carrying the Holy Communion out is a serious crime and that the administration of the diocese will come out with serious measures against offenders.
The Vicar-General told the congregation to commit themselves in receiving Holy Communion.
Fr Angutwa explained that in some countries Christians kill people who offend Holy Communion.
He said some Christians were ignorant of the importance of the Eucharist, saying ‘ignorance of law cannot be applied’.
The Vicar-General claimed that some people were taking the communion home for magic.
He warned that such offenders were accelerating their burials.
Fr Angutwa urged Christians to respect the Eucharist warning that the Church would not tolerate lawbreakers.
