Raga County Commissioner in Western Bahr El Ghazal state resigned from being a member of State Legislative Assembly.
Hassan Jalab Kadam earlier this month presented his resignation letter to the Assembly saying he cannot hold two positions, Voice of Hope reported.
In his letter he explained that one person holding two positions was contrary to the state Constitution.
Mr Jalab said another person will take his seat in the assembly to represent the constituency.
Members of state assembly on Tuesday welcomed the resignation and described Jalal’s decision as very wise and constitutional.
