Police pledges to fight crimes, corruption

The first national extraordinary police convention in Wau, Western Bahr El Ghazal ended on Thursday and pledged to improve security, respect all citizens and the rule of law.
 
The conference under the theme, ‘shaping ourselves to the mission’ resolved to maintain police transformation, Voice of Hope reported.
 
Interior and Wildlife Conservation Minister Aleu Ayeny Aleu called on the police generals to transform themselves and implement the mission of preventing, investigating and combating crimes.
 
Minister Aleu pledged that police would respect human rights, treat South Sudanese fairly, and pay special attention to vulnerable nationals.
 
He called on all organized forces to be transparent and free from violence and segregation.
