WBG Health ministry lowers malaria drugs prices

Western Bahr El Ghazal Health ministry lowered prices of malaria injection drugs in public and private pharmacies to combat the disease during the rainy season.
 
Wau private pharmacies were restricted to sell drugs at 30 South Sudanese Pounds while at public pharmacies sell at 25 pounds, Voice of Hope reported.
 
The pharmacies used to sell malaria injection drugs between 35 to 40 South Sudanese Pounds.
 
Pharmaceutical Director at the ministry Manal Mohamed Wedallah said that they assessed the market and found that prices were rapidly increasing prompting them to intervene.
 
She cautioned that any pharmacy violating the set prices will face the law.
