The United State Embassy donated equipments worth 28 million US dollars to South Sudan Prison Service.
US Deputy Ambassador to South Sudan Michael Milliken said the equipments include mattresses and mosquito nets for juvenile offenders and technical equipments for prison officers, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said the US government will continue supporting the institution to develop rule of law in the country.
Prison Service Director Abel Makoi Wol said the US government did a lot of progress work including building an academy, trainings, agriculture and rehabilitation.
He said he was pleased to received the deputy ambassador’s contribution.
Mr Makoi expressed readiness to cooperate with the US embassy in Juba.
