South Sudan Red Cross in Western Bahr El-Ghazal on Saturday graduated 90 first-aid volunteers under the theme ‘Volunteering with SSRC and first-aiders in every family’.
The two batches’ trainees underwent a two-month training on first-aid and life saving skills, Voice of Hope reported.
Sudan South Red Cross trainer in Wau Victor Jocondo said the first-aid skills help victims get better before receiving medical treatment at the hospital.
He said his office is committed to see that every family has a trained first-aid volunteer.
Mr Jocondo encouraged every family to allow its members to be enrolled into first-aid voluntary work to save lives at the family level.
