Salva Kiir Mayardit in a presidential decree on Tuesday removed all the ministers and their deputies.

He did not appoint new vice-president or national ministers and deputies.

President Kiir directed Secretary-General Abdoun Agaw and the undersecretaries of the various ministries to run the government.

The President also issued an order for the suspension of the SPLM Secretary-General Pagan Amum.

The order formed a five-member committee headed by the deputy chairman of the party James Wani Igga.

Kiir accused Pagan of mismanaging the party’s property, inciting violence and criticising his actions.
