Yei River County authorities on Saturday ordered foreigners to register with the office of immigration within three days.
Commissioner Juma David Augustine said it was very importance for every foreigner to note that whoever did not register in the immigration office in the county within 72 hours breaks the laws of South Sudan and Migration Act, Easter Radio reported.
Commissioner Juma said the registration of foreigners helps the county authority to monitor the activities of the every foreigner, assess foreigners’ businesses and help the government to get revenue.
He spelled out that foreigners should register with the county authorities and their community leaders.
The Commissioner mentioned that registration is very important because it gives foreigners the possibility to apply for visas.
Mr Juma called all the foreign communities to support their chairpersons during the registration process.
