Eve Women Development Organization on Tuesday organized a three-day training of trainers on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 in Wau in partnership with Women Development Group.
State Social Development Minister Arkangelo Anyar Anyar said the workshop was very crucial for women in rural areas to learn challenges facing all them in the country, Voice of Hope reported.
Mr Anyar encouraged women to be involved in decision-making, social activities, power sharing, education and business activities.
He urged all South Sudanese to join hands to address issues facing women.
The three- day workshop brought together 30 people from civil society organizations, community leaders and government officials.
UN Security Council adopted Resolution 1325 on October 31, 2000.
